The winds of autumn press upon the boughs of yonder tree And all around me midst the yard lies fading greenery Leaves fall from the laden branches, colors bright and fair To lie and sleep whilst winter comes and with it frosty air
I love so much the peace and still of Celtic scenery It sooths my heart and lifts my brow and sets my spirit free My soul longs for its gentle touch and restful offering Of autumn winds and fading leaves and quiet genuflecting
I see a scene of fall season color It glows with a vibrant green and amber The scene awakes within a beating breast The glorious beauty of Autumn's best
I felt the cold autumn breeze kiss my face last night While pausing to consider the enormity of the evening sky A great joy rose up then inside my beating heart And in the midst of my joy I cried out in gratitude I took a deep breath and I determined with fortitude To seek out the joy of His presence and never depart And to return to that place beneath the evening sky Where once I was reminded of the wonder of His might
Oh Autumn, sweet mistress of the rain I feel thy gentle touch upon my face The delicate brush of wind, A lightly scented perfume On the fog that lies like a blanket on the trees
Oh Autumn, bittersweet is thy name Bearing love I cannot satiate The promise of comfort within A golden arbor in a wooded glen Dark and rich with color in its olden age
Oh Autumn, give to me thy rest as the setting sun falls below the earth I seek the solace of a quiet winter The warmth of a genial fire And the blessed comfort of the ones I love
I went on a camping trip a week or so back, and had the chance to take some Fall specific type of photos. I like this one. Its prototypical of the kind of photos you find during this season. Not terribly original, but fun regardless...
