2002 Photo Essay // April // Down Town St. Louis: Down Town Saint Louis speaks for itself in many ways. Much of the area is rundown. It features several fun and important tourist attractions though, mainly the Arch, Union Station, and a number of war memorials and museums, not to mention several beautiful churches.2002 Photo Essay // August // Shaw's Gardens: The Saint Louis Botanical Gardens, also called Shaw's Gardens after its founder Henry Shaw who made his home there.

2002 Photo Essay // February // South Grand Water Towers: On Grand Boulevard between I-70 and I-55 are three water towers, marked for their historic architecture. The three standpipe water towers are rare, with only two others in the nation still standing, one in Downtown Chicago and the other in Milwakee. You can read more about the history of these towers on the built in Saint Louis website.

2002 Photo Essay // May // Forest Park: Forest Park was dedicated in 1876, the year our nation celebrated its centennial anniversary. In 1904 it was the site of the Saint Louis Worlds Fair, drawing 19 million visitors. It is still visited by 10 million people each year, and is, in my opinion, every bit as great as Central Park in NYC.
2002 Photo Essay // November // University City: University City is situated right next to Forest Park and accomodates the students and faculty of Washington University. The Delmar Loop is a small strip near the University that is home to several music venues, as well as a number of churches.
2002 Photo Essay // October // Alton, IL River Road: The river road that runs between Alton, IL and Pere Marquette is one of the most beautfiul in the Fall. Unfortunately, this photo essay restricts me to one roll of black and white film.
