Deep Vibration

Sway to the rhythm of deep vibration
Pulsating waves of palpable motion
Move to the beat of a pounding drum
The resonant thrill of a strident thrum
Loose yourself in an aching voice
Find yourself in the loss of choice
The quiet surrender of mans volition
To beauty, song, and exposition

  1. I like the way the rhythm matches the title and topic =) funny: just talked about rhythm in poetry today with a lit class

actually, the poem itself reminds me of a trip I took in my early teen years: an hour of sitting pressed up against a speaker in the back of someone’s van trying to muffle the sounds of the heavy beat and unpleasant words attached to it. the sound vibrated through my bones. rather uncomfortable
