Neat Image Noise Filter

I hate noise. Well, most of the time. I hate color noise all the time. I’ve held off buying some of the professional noise filtering programs for a long time because I didn’t believe they were really worth it. But on a whim I downloaded the free trial version of Neat Image and gave it a try on some of the photos I shot for the Pendragon Movie that, due to low lighting conditions, were shot at 3200ISO. Very noisy. I was a little shocked at the results.

The resulting image looks like it was shot at 200-400ISO. Very clean and quite usable. Click on the images to view larger us resized versions to get the full effect.
